Throughout my legal career, I have made it a priority to contribute to the community by providing pro bono legal services to those in need. Primarily my efforts have focused on preserving the rights of disabled tenants facing eviction. In this regard, I have represented clients through the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the San Francisco Bar Association, the Eviction Defense Collaborative, the San Francisco Tenants Union, the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, Pets are Wonderful Support (PAWS), and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.

Two of these include being named recipients (along with my former law partner) of the State Bar of California’s President’s Pro Bono Award in 2006, and the San Francisco Bar Association’s Housing Rights Award in 2005. Both of these awards were presented by Chief Justice Ronald George of the California Supreme Court.
